Writing is one of the biggest points of failure in websites or advertising and if you spend much time on Facebook, twitter or any other social media site then you probably know that society as a whole fails at writing. I don’t claim to be a great writer but when I spend time reading other peoples posts I feel like I deserve an degree in English.
Imagine my surprise when I found helpful writing hints from an unexpected source, a Weird Al Yankovic music video. I just happened to check out the video for Weird Al Yankovic’s “Word Crimes” and I found it to be one of the most creative videos I have seen in a long time, and it had some great writing tips as well.
I can learn how to write from a music video?
Yep. As strange as that sounds, it does have some good tips. Watch and learn what mistakes you make. Just don’t come back and critique my writing.
